Azaleas and finalizing plans

Hey, all! We’re getting ready to head to Brookings for our annual trek to enjoy the Azalea Festival. Plus, it will give us time to nail down the last few arrangements for the July 24-26 reunion. I always look forward to coming back to my hometown and catching up with my friends there.
For those who will be in town this weekend, don’t forget the 1970-79 all class get together at Azalea Park on Saturday, starting at 2 p.m. Nellie Gardner and Terri Wold do a fantastic job of putting this together each year. I’ve got to see folks I haven’t seen for decades, which just adds to the fun of the long weekend.
Once we get back, we should know where the Friday night event will be on July 24. I plan on cruising many bars in the area to see who can host our initial gathering. The sacrifices we make for the good of all …
There are some other surprises in the works, so you’ll just have to be there to find out.
Still making some great connections with classmates, but there are still quite a few we need to track down. If you have an email address of a classmate I don’t have (see the Searching for Classmates post) let me know by email and I’ll get them on the mailing list.
July will be here before we know it, and I’m so looking forward to our summer gathering. Hope you are too!
