It’s almost reunion time!
July 1, 2026
Hey fellow classmates. We’re just three and a half weeks out from an epic BHHS Class of ’76 Reunion in Brookings. Many of you have reached out to me through this blog and it has been wonderful to reconnect. So looking forward to connecting with as many of you as possible in person.
Our official schedule remains pretty much the same as previously posted:
| Friday, July 24 | ||
| 6 p.m. | Informal gathering at Chetco Brewing Co. https://www.chetcobrew.com | 830 Railroad St. (near the old Brookings Plywood) |
| Saturday, July 25 | ||
| 10:30 a.m. | Tour the high school | Brookings-Harbor High |
| 4 p.m. | Class of 1976 Reunion | Chetco Historical Museum 15461 Museum Road Harbor, OR |
Many have asked if they can contribute for the costs of the reunion. Fortunately we don’t have much in the way of cash into this. We’re grabbing the summertime “buy 3 packs, get 3 free” deals for the soft drinks and water, and we’ll make a Costco run on the way down for some things to graze on while we swap memories.
We’ll put out a donation bucket at the museum and you can pretend to help pay for a phantom kegger, like in the old days. If you want to bring something to snack on, that’s great as well.
I do have one request, however. I’m searching for a 1st grade class photo for the other classroom I don’t have. The photo I have is Mrs. Kindell’s class. But I know there was another 1st grade classroom, though I don’t recall the teacher’s name.
If you happen to have such a photo, I would like to get a high-quality photo of it. You can likely take the photo with your7camera and just send it as a large photo. I’m planning to blow these class photos up into posters so we can see how young and innocent we were back then.
Should you have the photo, you can send it by email to [email protected]. I’ll have some other surprises at the reunion, but you’ll have to be there in person to see them.
23 days and counting, my friends!
